Install the Widget Content

NOTE: It’s important to install all the theme’s plugins first, before following the next steps. Some widgets require the use of those plugins. Here is the tutorial to install plugins.

Step 1. Click on “Plugins” then click “Add New”.

Step 2. In the search box, type in “Widget Importer & Exporter”. Click “Install Now” then click “Activate”.

Step 3. Click on the link below to download and save your themes .wie file. You will need this in the next step.

Important: Only download ONE. Choose the theme you purchased below.

Step 4. After you download and save the file to your computer. Go back to your WordPress dashboard and click on “Tools” then “Widget Importer & Exporter”. 

Step 5. Click “Browse” then choose the .wie file you saved to your computer in step 3.

Click “Import Widgets” when done.

TROUBLESHOOT

Did you receive an error message that says “You must upload a .wie file generated by this plugin.“? There are 2 options to fix this:

Option 1

On your computer… Right click on the .wie file and open it with a Notepad (PC Users) or Notes (Mac Users). Copy the content inside. On your WordPress site… Click on “Tools” then “Widget Importer”, click on the link that says “copy and paste“. Paste the content you copied. Then click “Import Widgets”.

Option 2

Please contact me. I can login to your site and add the widgets for you.

Step 5. You’re all set! You should see a Result page that looks like the image on the right. Now you can click on PLUGINS, locate the Widget Importer/Exporter plugin, deactivate and delete it.

Continue Theme Setup

After the widget content is imported, please click on “Appearance” then click “Widgets”. You can click on each widget section (right side of your screen) to change the content info to your own info.
