Flexible Widgets

The benefit of flexible widgets is that the widget area will reformat automatically into evenly spaced widgets based on the number of widgets used. Here is a chart to show you how your widgets will adjust.

Kate Marcado Theme

On the Kate Marcado Theme the demo is using flexible widgets for Homepage 2 and Homepage 3 widget areas. To get to your widget areas go to “Appearance” then “Widgets”.

On Homepage 2 (as shown on the demo site) the widget area is using:

  • 1 Text Widget – for the “Welcome to the Kate Marcado Theme”
  • 3 Image Widgets – for “The blog”, “about Us”, and “The shop” images. You can use the images that came with your purchase. Install the “Image Widget” plugin first.

On the Homepage 3 widget area the demo is using:

  • 1 WooCommerce Products widget – to showcase your products in your shop. See the settings to the right for this widget.

Adore Me Theme

With the Adore Me theme… all of the Front Page widget sections are flexible widgets. You can find the tutorial for:

But please follow the rest of this tutorial for the other Front Page widget sections. 

If you do not have the Image Widget yet… you will first need to upload this plugin. To do this please go to “Plugins” then “Add New”. In the search box please type in Image Widget. Click “Install Now” then “Activate”.

Image Widget

After the Image Widget is install please go to “Appearance” then “Widgets”. Follow the rest of the tutorials below.

** Front Page 3 **

On Front Page 3 (as shown on the demo site) this widget section is using:

  • Text Widget – leave this widget blank. Just place this widget in Front page 3
  • Image Widget – Click on Image Widget and choose “Front Page 3” from the dropdown options. You can use the “Welcome Hi There” image that came with your purchase and add a message in the caption section. See the picture to the right for an example.
  • Image Widget – add a second image widget and then upload your photo to this widget as shown below.

** Front Page 4 **

Front Page 4 (with the dark background) widget section is using:

  • Image Widget – on the demo we are using the image that says “Oh the Possibilities Start Here” but you can use any image or widget that you want to use. To set this up like the demo please choose Image Widget and then Front Page 4 from the dropdown options. Upload “Oh the Possibilities Start Here” that came with your purchase. Choose to “Center” align the image then save your changes.

Front Page 6 (with image background) widget section is using:

  • Image Widget – on the demo we are using the image that says “Thanks for Visiting” but you can use any image or widget that you want to use. To set this up like the demo please choose Image Widget and then Front Page 6 from the dropdown options. Upload “Thanks for Visiting” that came with your purchase. Choose to “Center” align the image then save your changes.
