Simple Social Icons Setup

Please follow this tutorial to install and setup the Simple Social Icons plugin for your site.

1. Click on “Plugins” on your dashboard (left hand side). Then click on “Add New” (top of the screen).

2. On the right side where it says “Search Plugins” type in Simple Social Icons. Find the plugin, click on “Install Now” then “Activate”.

3. Next click on “Appearance” then “Widgets”. Under “Available Widgets” click on “Simple Social Icons”. Choose the widget section you would like them to go to, such as the Primary Sidebar and

  • Adore Me theme – place this widget in Nav Social Menu, Primary Sidebar, and Footer 2
  • * Editorial Avenue – place this widget in Footer 1, Primary Sidebar, and Sticky Social Icons (see “Important” note below for Sticky Icons)
  • * Ellie Jane – place this widget in Footer 1, Primary Sidebar, and Sticky Social Icons (see “Important” note below for Sticky Icons)
  • Her Exclusive theme – place this widget in Header Left, Primary Sidebar, and Footer 3
  • Hailey Wells theme – place this widget in Primary Sidebar and Footer 1
  • Kylee More – place this widget in the Primary Sidebar, Footer 1, & Instagram Page
  • Beyond Madison – place this widget in the Primary Sidebar, Footer 1 & Instagram Page
  • Classy Ink – place this widget in the Nav Social Menu, Primary Sidebar, Instagram Page
  • Carpe Diem – place this widget in Left Menu Extras, Footer 1, & Primary Sidebar

*Important Sticky Social Icons: if you are using the Editorial Avenue or Ellie Jane theme… when you place this widget under “Sticky Social Icons”… be sure to change “Alignment” in the widget setting to “Align Left“. This is important so that your sticky icons align on the left side of your screen.

4. Fill in the information requested as shown in the image below. You can choose to enter a title for this widget or not. It’s totally up to you. Click on the image to see a larger picture.

5. When done click on “Save” at the bottom of the widget.
